i bought this as a replacement for the previous "dash" jacket which did not work for me-too stiff, not enough room for layering, did not like color and overall i struggled with it until i gave it to my niece. the vim has solved these issues. the weather blocking front is pliable and moves with you, the back material is lighter weight and cooler,there is room for layering without excess bulk and the red is a knock out color. this jacket works with you, not against you.very comfortable for bicycling.

I purchased this jacket (thanks to a gift certificate and a promotional offer) to motivate me to run outdoors during the PNW winter. It was perfect for today's running weather - cool and wet but not raining. As always, the wool breaths, and the softshell front shed the sprinkles. It feels so good on and looks so good that it's really motivating! Can't wait to wear it as a layer for snowshoeing.

This is a most amazing product. Its stylish, tech, versatile, great fitting. I was afraid it was going to be overbuilt but its the epitome of form meeting function. Its expensive but great value cause I can wear it year around everywhere.
