Comments about Ibex Arrivee Bib Shorts:

Good quality wool but inseam is about a good 1/2 inch too short and I detest the contrasting white stitching. Make 'em all black and lengthen that inseem.

Until then, I prefer my Kucharik wool bibs

I'm using these for commuting. Even on warm days (70-80 degrees) they are not too hot despite being wool. Highly recommended for for cycling, but not really for the bar scene

Comments about Ibex Arrivee Bib Shorts:

I've owned these bibs for a bit over a month and put ~500 miles on them. When I 1st got them I agreed with some of the other reviewers with regard to chafing. However, I wanted to give them a reasonable shot. On rides less than 3 hours they're great. I've done a few ~100mi rides with ok results. I own and love the El Fito knickers. It is too bad the same chamois wasn't used, as these are great. The Arrivee chamois has a seam that at least for me passes directly across my sit bones. I generally like these bibs and will likely continue to use them for long and short rides alike. However, I may hesitate to use them if I was going to be putting in day in and day out long days, such as a tour.

Comments about Ibex Arrivee Bib Shorts:

I've always worn a medium in other brands and ordered these in that size. In just a few weeks the stitching started to pull out around the chamois. I thought maybe this material just doesn't stretch as much as spandex so returned them and ordered a large. These are too loose on me and don't hold "the boys" securely in place. They also tend to creep up my thighs. Now, even though they are too big, the stitching on a number of the seams is starting to unravel. I love the feel of them and prefer wool to all other materials for working out in, but I have been disappointed in these.

Comments about Ibex Arrivee Bib Shorts:

Ibex has done the impossible: made me wear a cycling bib made with New Zealand wool. The Arrivee bib runs true to size, stays in place, and keeps family jewels safe on 100-mile days with a technically strong chamois/pad. The bib breathes as the same, if not better, than any top cycling brand I've worn, including Vermarc, Assos and Pearl Izumi. Bonus points to Ibex for style, thanks to subtle white stitching and soft fabric hand that doesn't scream shiny Lycra. I'm quite surprised, and very pleased with the garment and price point when compared to long-time cycling brand leaders. Consider me the newest member of the Ibex fan club.

These are my favorite shorts for road biking. The fabric is excellent and I have ridden them up to 85 degress with no problem with heat. They are the best temp regulating shorts that I have ever used. Ever. The pad is great and look is fantastic!

I am average size (190#,5'10"), but the straps are too short in my size XL, causing them to pull up on the crotch. Otherwise they are very comfortable.

Great shorts, but could use an extra bit of windblock in the crotch region. I would not recommend these for days below 55*. I did a 4 hour ride in temps between 40-50 and about froze my nuts off....

have always wanted to try wool shorts but could never find bibs. upon seeing these i knew i had to give them a swing. been using them primarily for commuting so far so no rides over 20 miles, but i have confidence they will perform well in that facet as well!!!!!! nice and warm during our recent So Cal cold snap(i know it wasnt really cold, but it was for here!!!).

Comments about Ibex Arrivee Bib Shorts:

These are cut much wider than euro style racer-cut bibs. I normally wear size L or XL in assos, de marchi or giordana and the ibex L was very loose fitting. I'm 6'2" with a 33" inch waist. The shoulder straps are too thin and the front of the bib comes up well above the belly button. I also have the duo short and those seem to work ok.
