Comments about Ibex Meru Hat:
Much nicer weight fabric than the previous generation hats. This lightweight beauty is perfect for even the coldest weather.

Comments about Ibex Meru Hat:
This is a terrific hat - the merino wool is thick, warm, and non-itchy enough to wear in my sleeping bag, and cute enough to keep on all day.
My only complaint is that it doesn't quite cover my ears all the way - it would be nice if it were just a smidge longer (deeper?) from crown to hem.

Comments about Ibex Meru Hat:
I liked this hat a lot. A friend gave it to me but I lost it and decided to get another one. I dont know if it is slightly a different style or what but the brown color was WAY darker than I thought it would be. It is almost black in color. It is also a bit tighter than the other. It gives me earaches. The wool is super comfortable on my forehead. It doesn't itch at all! It also looks really stylish. It is the hat I wear when I am dressed up and its cold. It also fits under a helmet nicely.
It it still great just not exactly what I expected.

Comments about Ibex Meru Hat:
I wear this under my helmet on cold days (under 40 degrees). It allows me to wear one less layer under my jacket, and breathes extremely well; i never find my head getting sweaty. Quite comfortable. Could be a wee bit softer but I rarely notice. Looks sharp too. Very close to the perfect cycling hat.

Comments about Ibex Meru Hat:
I was looking for a hat to wear for cold winter high aerobic activities. This is not it because it does not cover the ears and therefore is not for cold weather activities. You can pull it down to cover part of the ears but during activity it rides up. This hat is good for base camp and hanging around (which I have my Buff for). On that note, I tried five Ibex hats and did find the right one - ZEPHER SKULL CAP. Although I think I will sew button holes above the ears so I can fit my sunglasses through (glasses over the hat stretchs the glasses out, and under lets a draft in).

Comments about Ibex Meru Hat:
This would be perfect, except that it is too short to cover the bottoms of my ears. Which is where I would like it most. It fits great under my helmet, and works like a dream as long as I've got a neck gaiter going at the same time, so the gaiter can cover my ears from below. Silly skiers and their ears free style...

Comments about Ibex Meru Hat:
I wear this hat all the time in the winter. I love that I can wash it whenever I want, especially after sweating in it while running or skiing. (All my other winter hats have to go to the dry cleaner.) It also fits easily in a pocket if you need to take it off. This hat is a winnter!
