Very well made (I've come to expect this from Ibex), stylish and extremely comfortable. I've worn this cross-country skiing this winter and it did a wonderful job regulating my core temperature when worn under a shell. And it fits perfectly, too!
I highly recommend this product.

Absolutely love this for winter running. Collar adds protection; full zip ventilation. The sleeves with thumbholes give enough protection to forego gloves, except on frigid days (when I add the lightweight merino liners). I wear it with a woolies underneath. Love the fit. I'm 5' 3", lean, but with pretty broad shoulders and the XS fits great. I bought the black/grey and it is gorgeous! I have an old Skyline that Ibex no longer makes, alas, which is the same style but slightly lighter weight--it was my favorite item (and I have LOTS of Ibex stuff)--until this! It is practical but oh so stylish!

Shaks are great. I have an old one (a few years old) that I still love. I think IBEX changed the fabric a bit and it's even better now. The fabric is more snugly and soft... and warm. The little pocked is great for an iPod.
The price is not cheap but I think IBEX is the best merino wool on the market and it's made in the US not in China (I think that may be the reason for the better quality).
I love it!

Love the thimb holes. Great weight and very warm. Would like a redder red instead of pinky.

This was the Christmas gift I had most wanted to receive! I've already worn it traveling, lounging around the house (including all Christmas morning), running in 20 degree temperatures, walking to the store (in the same kind of cold) and roller skating with my daughter. It is warm, fits well and looks incredibly flattering. One comment... I got the Royal Purple/Snow color combo. The Snow is not a bright white, like in the photo online, but rather a grayish-white (similar to Putty). I don't care (it still looks fab) but if you are expecting bright white, you may be disappointed.

Have just returned from a ski trip where I wore this every day - other sweaters didn't even make it out of the suitcase! Fits very well - fitted enough to layer under a jacket, not so fitted that I can't layer two other Ibex pieces underneath (a long sleeve T and my Zepher, another favorite) - I like to be warm! Length is perfect, t-neck is perfect, design is great, thumb loops rock! If it came in other color options that were flattering to me I'd buy every one! I highly recommend this product.
I read the fit concerns of the other reviewer...if it helps, I am usually a size 6/8 and wear a size small in other manufacturers' clothing, but always take a M in Ibex products.

I bought this Shak because of the color; that thistle heather is terrific! The thumbholes were a neat design element also. What a disappointment, though, when I tried it on and it didn't fit right. Even with only a Woolies zipneck underneath as a base layer, this jacket was way too tight through the shoulders and arms for it to be comfortable. My shoulders are broader than the design with its set-in contrasting sleeves seemed to allow for, which caused the garment to stretch in weird ways across the chest and upper back. Anyway, I'm returning this and am hoping for a design reconfiguration at some point.
