Great jacket, very well made, warm yet relatively lightweight. The pockets are lined with a very soft, comfortable material, and will keep your hands warm. The wool is dense and blocks wind and light rain. The only downside is that the jacket is a bit boxy -- I wish it had a slightly slimmer cut, but this is really just a quibble. It's a terrific product, and I'm looking forward to wearing it for many, many years.

Sweet jacket...a nice alternative to my Filson, which would survive a nuclear blast, but is boxy and a little itchy. The best thing about it is that you can come off a snowshoe or ski and watch into a restaurant and you won't look like you just stepped off the slopes. Which in Madison Wisconsin doesn't matter, but in other more civilized places it might.

I have been looking for a casual wool jacket for many years and was excited to try this one from Ibex. On the whole, it's a great jacket. All the jackets I had tried on previously were seemingly made for a guy with a beer gut and always looked way too boxy on me (I'm 6' with somewhat broad shoulders but slim middle). This jacket is much more tailored and fits me nicely. It's made well and feels like it will last forever. When worn over a Shak, it keeps me warm even in freezing temps.

I have two minor complaints. First, the fabric is not as fine as the other Ibex fabrics, so it's more itchy, especially at first. They could improve this jacket by including a thin liner of some sort, especially on the collar. When you zip the collar all the way up, it is fairly scratchy on your neck. As with all wool, the itchiness mostly goes away the more you wear it, but that initial itchiness almost made me return it.

Second, although it does have two zippered hand pockets, I really wish it also had an inside chest pocket. When commuting, I like to keep my wallet in a zippered inside pocket, and when traveling an inside chest pocket is nice for holding boarding passes upright. This lack of an inside chest pocket is only a minor drawback, but this jacket would be perfect if they included one.

I just got this at the Tent Sale, so hopefully it's last year's model and there's a better version available. As mentioned by others the sleeves are too small and it's not as warm as I thought it would be. Also, the elastic section of the cuffs is uncomfortable, I have trouble getting my hands in the pockets, and I was going to have to sew a cell phone pocket into the inside.

The pros are that it looks nice and fits well through the body.

This jacket does fit a little snug, but I like that because I can wear it as a midlayer. I think of it as a very warm and rugged sweater that can also function as a jacket if needed. It looks nice and is very versatile. Too heavy for backpacking, but great for everything else!
