Comments about Ibex Shak Sport:
I already owned two Shak sweaters prior to buying this one, but when it went on sale, I had no hesitation about buying it. It's the best looking sweater I own, and I'm able to use it for a wide range of activities. It's dressy enough to put a dress shirt and tie underneath, but it's comfortable enough to wear over a light base layer for all-day wear. I am very pleased with this sweater.

Comments about Ibex Shak Sport:
I ordered this online with high hopes. Unfortunately the green is darker and more pea green than what I saw online, the color is too short and doesn't lay quite right, and the length is a little too short. This shirt has great potential, but it's not quite there. Personally, I wish they offered solids. The seams between the colors don't lay smoothly, and the 'style' they've choosen is not quite right. A solid color would be so much simpler and easier to get right.

Comments about Ibex Shak Sport:
I'm 5'11" and I thought the large was to small under the armpits. After wearing the Shak a few times I realized it was the correct size in a "sport fit." Also, the sleeves are about 1-2/2" to 2" too long and reach to the base of my thumb. The color and the styling work with jeans or khaki's, for office or casual wear. It's warm and light enough for the early spring days. Too bad it's not as soft as my Smartwool garment.

Comments about Ibex Shak Sport:
I bought this for my husband, who is 6'3", 220, athletic build, and refuses to wear anything but jeans, ratty t-shirts with ratty long underwear underneath. I almost fell off my chair because he likes it, and I love the way he looks in it. He has already taken it on icefishing trips and said it was great. I also bought him Ibex Zephers and he is wearing them also. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks. I love Ibex products and I am really glad he likes too. It looks sporty and he can wear the Shak for anything, and it doesn't look like his wife is trying to dress him:) I also bought him a regular shak and he is wearing that too! Ibex, please keep making great men's clothing, because my husband really needs new clothes that look masculine and wear well! Thanks.

Great everyday top for cool weather. As good for casual use, at the office, around town and for performance such as back country skiing, and lounging at the yurt!

This piece rocks!
Good weight for any winter activities. And works well during casual days at the office.
I am a true Ibex fan. Been buying pieces since the company first started. And I must say the Shak Sport is the culmination of years of wool evolution.
I have the blue, and the color is actually a deeper blue than whats pictured, but still a really stylish piece.

Comments about Ibex Shak Sport:
I bought the black one last year and wear it frequently--it shrunk a little after first washing, but still fit well. I bought a second one this year, in red.
The sweater is incredibly versatile. I have worn to the office--looks very sharp with wool dress pants, around a campfire, and under a sports jacket to a nice dinner. The weight is very good and provides good warm but doesn't suffocate you because of the zip-neck. I'd imagine that a crew-neck collar would feel too warm.
It has worn like cast-iron--absolutely no pilling for the sweater that is over a year old.
The only negative I would say is that my first sweater, having shrunk slightly, is now a bit snug. I am thin--5'10", 150 lbs--but it's still a bit tighter especially around my arms. To be fair, the new sweater doesn't have this issue, so I may have not washed it perfectly.
Ibexwear response:Solid colors and a more basic design is available in style #616.
