Comments about Ibex Tuck Vest:
I am a very warm blooded person and that means that a normal softshell or jacket tends to be far too warm for me, especially if I'm moving at all. I've been researching softshell vests for a couple of years and had decided on the Haglofs Speed Vest until I found the Ibex vests. As I'm a huge fan of wool and all of it's pluses over other materials. Well, having worn the vest for an extended period over a few days I believe that I've definitely made the right choice. Thanks Ibex!

Comments about Ibex Tuck Vest:
I would consider this an all season vest. Great to layer with. Perfect to wear just with a t shirt. i wish the collar was a bit shorter though.

Comments about Ibex Tuck Vest:
Going up a mountain in fall or winter, I tend to run hot; a full softshell leaves me overheated. But you're going to encounter wind, and snow is going to fall on you when your pack hits low-hanging branches, so you need something.
This Ibex climawool softshell vest -- called the Tuck now, but there have been a number of different names for it over the years (why is that...?) -- is just the something I need. Paired with the Zephyr zip up shirt, this vest stops the wind, keeps snow off my shoulders, helps me retain some -- but not too much -- heat, and enables me to regulate temperature well. After 10 - 15 mins of getting warmed up with a jacket on, this vest and the Zephyr are my standard winter combo by themselves, even down into single digits. I have gotten and continue to get a LOT of use of out it.
That said, you should not look at it as a vest that will keep you warm standing still, like one of their heavy wool vests, or a down vest, though on a mild to cool windy day, this will be just right for standing around at a kids soccer game.
