Comments about Ibex Tuck Jacket:
I was pleasantly surprised with the blue color. Great shell for the PNW. Keeps you dry in the drizzle.

Comments about Ibex Tuck Jacket:
So I really wanted to LOVE this jacket. Ibex was finally making something that could replace my old original Ibex Icefall jacket. Or so it seemed. I wanted it as a breathable but wind resistant non-stink softshell for ski touring and cool weather rock climbing as well as bike commuting. The material is much better than the cardboard from the Pingo jacket which I had returned, but not as light or stretchy as the old Climawool lite of the Icefall. Could be the cut too, but even reaching down to tie a shoe or adjust a ski boot buckle and you feel it pulling on your shoulders and back (jacket is not at all tight when just standing with arms at my side). The jacket does breath very well ski touring with just a wool baselayer underneath and does a decent job of blocking the wind (not a jacket for super cold and super windy). And it is yet to stink even with lots of sweating on hot tours, but it is too restrictive to bike in or rock climb in comfortably. My old Icefall was so stretchy that I never felt it climbing, skiing, biking, alas it is a bit shredded from overuse and one too many sliding falls on rock. Ibex, please bring back the original Icefall that made many of us aware of you a decade ago! Until then I'll have to wear softshells from other makers who remember they are supposed to be super stretchy and unrestrictive and I'll just stink.

Comments about Ibex Tuck Jacket:
This jacket has a very good weight that is both warm when it is cold, and breaths well when it is not. I wore it on a chilly airplane, and it was just right -- warm but not stuffy, and very comfortable. I had expected something different from the picture. The outer shell is a shinier nylon that stretches, and there is no lining as such -- the wool is somehow put directly on the inside of the outer shell, like the fuzzy stuff inside a sweatshirt. The fit is good, with long sleeves, deep pockets and is comfortable zipped up the whole way. My only complaint is that the collar on the side of the earphone holder does not lie down well. I suspect this will change as it gets broken in more, but it seems more natural to wear the collar up with this jacket anyways.

Comments about Ibex Tuck Jacket:
I use this jacket for going to work in the morning and running errands on Saturday. So far it feels great in this damp spring we're having in the SF bay area. I suspect this jacket will also be used in the fall and summer.

I received the item on Friday Mar 19 and returned it for exchange to larger size the next day. Can't really comment on it.

Comments about Ibex Tuck Jacket:
I bought this about three weeks ago as a daily-wear replacement for a fleece jacket. The Tuck is lightweight and fits well over a sweater without being too bulky. The outer fabric is dense enough to shed wind and the DWR coating does its job. I've been wearing it daily since I bought it. It's not enough for serious winter weather but is a nice piece for spring/fall wear.
My only complaint, which is a small one, is with the execution of the headphone port in the chest pocket. The port itself is OK but has a small snap-loop on the inside of the jacket that I assume is for headphone retention. The snap broke after just a couple of duty cycles - the male part pulled out of the relatively delicate mesh liner, and the female part also broke away from the small strap it was mounted on.
That's a little disappointing but not enough for me to return the jacket.

Comments about Ibex Tuck Jacket:
I bought this jacket for my husband who had been wearing a very ugly jacket because it was the right weight for our city's more moderate winters and for running around town on errands when you don't need a very heavy jacket. This is an excellent jacket for temps 30 and above, it's probably not going to suit you for extreme cold unless you are running or skiing and wearing more layers. It's a good, trim fit but still has room for a sweater layer under it. Good looking jacket and he loves the hidden chest pocket. He wears this jacket constantly now.

Comments about Ibex Tuck Jacket:
I was looking for a jacket that I could layer with my Scout 1/2 zip top that would not be bulky when I"m training or riding horses in the northern Ohio winter. Most of the work takes place in indoor arenas but they still are very cold.
I needed a jacket that would breathe as I warmed up. I also liked the double zipper, allowing me to open the bottom of the jacket while riding thus preventing the jacket from bunching up.
Great jacket for active wear when you know you are going to warm up.

Comments about Ibex Tuck Jacket:
I use the jacket for cool weather hiking while carrying a large camera pack. The fit is perfect for wearing under a pack. My 1st Ibex softshell is now ~10 years old and showing its age. I still use it for yardwork.
