Comments about Ibex Shak Full Zip:
I have an older full zip shak that I've worn so often I've worn holes in the sleeves. It's been by far the best technical wool piece I've owned. This new shak just doesn't have the same fit. The body is now constructed out of fewer peices, making it much more boxy and less amenable to layering. I know it probably kept costs down, but I'd rather pay a bit more and keep the fit.

Comments about Ibex Shak Full Zip:
My wife and I each ordered a Shak on Jan. 24th. Much to our dismay, they went on sale one week later. I called Ibex and told them that "now I am sad" and they laughed and credited us the difference. The savings meant I could order another item!
I've been casually wearing my Shak nearly every day since then and so far no problems.

I have owned two of these for a number of years and use them for outdoor sports such as skiing, hiking, etc., as well as daily casual use. Love mine so much that I bought this one for my father who is an extensive world traveler and thought it would be a great versatile piece for him to pack. He loved it! He's very picky about his clothing too,and had a preconcieved notion about wool being itchy. Boy was he surprised...guess he hasn't worn wool for a few decades!

I wear this product often and have no complaints thus far. I do a lot of outdoor activities but don't want to wear such a nice shirt for these, so I haven't assessed performance in extreme situations. It has worked great as an every day garment and looks stylish.

Perfect as part of a layered outside wear... and equally perfect for inside wear to cut the winter chill

Somewhere between a sweater and a fleece, this jacket has been on my husbands shoulders everyday since I bought it for him a couple of days. the full zip makes for great temp. regulation when he gets too warm, it's slim cut looks great on him (I'd err on a bigger size rather than a smaller one), and the color is gorgeous. It does seem to be pilling just a bit, but I supposed that's just part of being a natural fiber.

Comments about Ibex Shak Full Zip:
This is the nicest mid-weight merino sweater that I could find. I really like that it is made in the USA. Unlike some other manufacturers, Ibex doesn't seem to be cut for the unusually svelte--the large fits me comfortably at 6'1, 210 pounds. I've had to size up to XL and even XXL to fit into some other jerseys. I have another dedicated bike jersey, but this is my go-to sweater for riding around town in 40-70 degree weather. It looks just fine off the bike with jeans, shorts, whatever. Nice seams. It's holding its shape well. Love the green color.

I agree with Toby that past Shak jackets had a better fit. Just bought this one a few months ago and there is a flap on the sides in the middle. I usually take an Xl and it fits great - now its too big and not form fitting at all. [...]

My favorite and a sweater that I have bought for each of my sons-in-law, who also wear them regularly. This is my "go to" sweater for travel and generally the only sweater I take on long trips because it is perfect for all occasions. Takes up little space and is incredibly warm for its weight. The Shak is a classic. It's absolutely perfect!

I bought this as a gift and the fit was too tight, so I sent it back for an x-large.
